Where to Find Discounted Celine
The right sale at the right time can make all the difference between an insurmountable sum and a reasonable splurge.
However, direct discounts at Celine boutiques can be incredibly scarce.
Often, the best way to find a deal is through authorized retailers, including the online luxury outlets below.
These offer Celine sales all year round, mainly featuring sale items from previous season collections.
You’ll find the best Celine sales at the end of each fashion season, typically in January and May.
Celine Outlets Online
My favorite retailers for authentic, discounted Celine bags, shoes, clothes, and accessories include Gilt, Yoox, Italist, Rue La La, Shop Premium Outlets, and Nordstrom’s Designer Private Sale.
You’ll notice that Italist and Yoox are European online outlets, while Gilt, Rue La La, and Shop Premium Outlets are American.
Did you know that you can get Celine products cheaper in Europe, compared to the US & Asia?!
I did not realize this until stumbling upon (and then purchasing from) these European e-commerce outlets listed above!
Because Celine is a French brand, the proximity to the production facilities in Europe results in lower transportation and importation costs.
Not to mention, Celine’s pricing strategy considers local market conditions, including competition, demand, and purchasing power.
All of these third-party retailers are authorized and licensed to sell Celine products, so have comfort in knowing that authenticity is guaranteed.
*Please don’t forget to double-check these retailers’ return policies, as some items may be final sale.*
1. Gilt
Known for its flash sales and limited-time offers, Gilt gives you the chance to snap up your desired Fendi piece at an awesome price.
Ranging from the classic Nano Totes to loafers , Gilt’s variety of Celine’s items caters to every fashion enthusiast’s taste.
Remember, with its time-sensitive deals, you have to act fast before these coveted items are gone!
Gilt is one my favorite platforms for discounted Celine because they feature handbags (super rare to find) as well as shoes and other accessories.
Just make sure to filter out the authentic pre-owned, since they sometimes mix pre-owned and new items together (especially bags).
Please note that you will have to create an account to use Gilt’s site or app.
2. Italist
As an online platform that sources luxury products directly from Italian boutiques, Italist offers an extensive range of Celine items at a fraction of the cost.
The platform prides itself on providing customers with authentic, new, and in-season fashion at discounted prices.
It’s like shopping on the streets of Milan, Rome, or Florence, right from the comfort of your home!
You can find discounted ready-to-wear, shoes, and eyewear (probably the best selection, in my opinion).
So, if you’re after the latest Celine sunnies without the hefty price tag, Italist just might be your next shopping destination.
3. Yoox
Another often-overlooked and reputable online retailer for snagging Celine pieces at reduced prices is Yoox.
Yoox, known for its extensive collection of past-season luxury items, offers a unique opportunity to purchase authentic Celine items at a fraction of their original cost.
In terms of inventory, they have a mix of ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories.
By regularly checking the site and taking advantage of periodic sale events, fashion enthusiasts can add prestigious Celine pieces to their collection without stretching their budget.
4. Rue La La
For those who love the thrill of limited-time sales, Rue La La is another online platform worth visiting.
Similar to Gilt, this members-only destination offers exclusive deals on a variety of designer brands, including Celine.
Both sites tend to have overlapping items, so if Gilt doesn’t have your size, Rue La La will be worth checking out.
If you’re lucky, you might just find the Celine piece of your dreams at a significantly reduced price – but remember, the clock is ticking, so don’t wait too long to snag that deal!
Again, make sure to filter out the authentic pre-owned, since they sometimes mix pre-owned and new items together (especially bags).
Please note that you will also have to create an account on Rue La La to access their site & app.
5. Shop Premium Outlets
Known for their brick-and-mortar outlet stores, Shop Premium Outlets brings the outlet shopping experience to the convenience of your home.
For those hunting for deals, Shop Premium Outlets provides a selection of Celine merchandise at outlet prices without the need to visit physical outlet locations.
Just note that they also mix in some of their authentic pre-owned pieces, so be sure to filter through these if you aren’t interested in them.
6. Nordstrom’s Designer Private Sale
Although Nordstrom isn’t an outlet store, I decided to include it on this list.
You probably didn’t know that Nordstrom consistently holds a designer private sale. This sale is a very IYKYK (if you know, you know) event that not everyone has access to.
Although Nordstrom’s Designer Private Sale is always subject to change, they occasionally have discounted Celine items.
The sale is most popular in December/January and May/June, but don’t forget to check back through my secret link throughout the year. You never know what might be on sale!
Side note – I love sharing limited-time offers and private sales like this one with my loyal Mindfully Glam community. Sign up below to hear more about when these sales take place!

Pre-Loved and Second-Hand Celine
If you’re looking for a more consistent discount option, you can also consider purchasing pre-owned Celine items.
Websites like Fashionphile, The Real Real, and Rebag specialize in selling authentic designer goods that have been previously owned. These are my top 3 favorite pre-loved sites.
Try using the code “REAL” for a 20% discount off The Real Real (exclusions may apply, but it’s worth a try!) 😊
You can also try shopping pre-owned from the websites listed above: Gilt, Rue La La, and Shop Premium Outlets.
I personally love shopping pre-loved when I’m on the hunt for something vintage or from a previous season.
While the prices may still be high, you can save a few hundred dollars and still get the same iconic look.

Does Celine Have Black Friday Sales?
By choosing to rarely have sales, Celine creates a sense of urgency and exclusivity for their products, making them even more desirable.
Unfortunately, Celine does not participate in Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales and promotions.
By rarely offering discounts, the brand ensures that customers are paying for the superior quality and design of their products, rather than just a name or label.
But wait – third-party retailers (such as the ones listed above) may offer Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday promotions on Celine items. It all depends on the retailer and what’s available.

Is Celine Cheaper in Paris?
The allure of purchasing a Celine bag directly from the heart of fashion – Paris, is not only exciting but also more cost-effective.
Due to various factors such as local taxes, import duties that are not applicable in France, and the brand’s pricing strategy, Celine products can indeed be slightly more affordable in Paris than in other parts of the world (i.e. the US).
Additionally, tourists from non-EU countries can benefit from tax-free shopping, potentially saving up to 12% more.
Therefore, snagging that coveted Celine piece in its homeland not only offers the charm of a Parisian shopping experience but can also be a more economical choice!
Does Celine Hold Its Value?
One of the defining aspects of purchasing a luxury item is the consideration of its resale value.
Celine, unlike some brands, typically maintains good resale value due to its timeless designs.
Items like the Triomphe Bags, Box Bag, Luggage Tote and other highly-coveted pieces have been known to retain a large percentage of their original value, making them a more justifiable purchase for many.
Why is Celine So Expensive?
Celine’s reputation for luxury is underpinned by its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and materials.
The brand sets itself apart by using the finest leather and pays close attention to the lines and structure of each item, contributing to its high price tag.
Factors that contribute to Celine’s high cost include:
- Materials
- Labor
- Heritage
- Exclusivity
- Brand positioning
Each handbag goes through a meticulous creation process, and this level of detail simply does not come cheap.
Is Celine Considered Quiet Luxury?
Celine is often associated with “quiet luxury”, a term that reflects a brand’s emphasis on elegance and quality over overt branding.
It focuses on subtleties, such as minimalist designs and attention to detail, that resonate with a more sophisticated consumer looking for a timeless investment rather than a trend.
Think substance over flashiness. Those wrapped in quiet luxury choose pieces that speak through their craftsmanship and longevity rather than their logos.
This philosophy mirrors a growing trend towards mindful consumption, where the pedigree of design and the integrity of creation hold more weight than the transient allure of trends.
Celine, in its essence, champions this movement, appealing to those who seek elegance in simplicity and durability in quality.
Celine masters the art of “quiet luxury,” where less is definitely more.
It’s all about the understated elegance, minimalist designs, and those fine details that catch the eye of a connoisseur searching for a piece that’s both timeless and chic.
Does Louis Vuitton Own Celine?
Celine is a subsidiary of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, the French multinational luxury goods conglomerate.
Louis Vuitton acquired Celine in 1996, and since then, Celine has continued to be a bastion of high fashion and a jewel in the LVMH crown.

Is Celine More Expensive Than Louis Vuitton?
The cost of a Celine item, compared to Louis Vuitton, is subject to a variety of factors.
On average, however, Celine pieces tend to be more expensive than their Louis Vuitton counterparts.
While Louis Vuitton certainly offers some high-priced items, Celine’s dedication to nuanced quality and design often reflects in a higher cost.
Wrapping Up Does Celine Go On Sale?
So, there you have it!
Although it’s not well know, Celine indeed goes on sale. You best bet to finding your dream bag or pair of sunglasses is by souring the online outlets listed above.
As per any sale, patience and timing are key. However, the thrill of the hunt is worth owning a Celine piece at a more accessible price.
Happy shopping!
